Our love story began like that of many millennial couples: on a dating app called Hinge. We first connected on October 5th, 2020 when we were both living in Montreal. At that time, the government had shut down every possible date spot and the SPVM was handing out $1000 tickets to anyone found outside their residence past 8pm. Being a couple of risk-averse eldest children, our courtship involved many Zoom-dates, long outdoor walks, hand-wringing over whether we should be wearing masks and of course endless exchanges of text messages. 

Without the usual distractions available to a couple of thirty-somethings in one of the most exciting cities in the world, our relationship developed quickly. We got a dog, moved in together and bought a house sight unseen in another province, all before we had ever gone to a movie in a theatre or shared a meal inside a restaurant! Although the timeline has been unconventional, by trusting ourselves and each other, we have built a beautiful life together and are excited to begin the next chapter of our lives as a married couple. 

We have been blessed to have the love and support of our family and friends on every step of our journey and look forward to celebrating with you all on October 5th, 2024 in St. Andrews By-the Sea!
